Fiume and the Hungarians

New exhibition in Rijeka City Museum

Image Rijeka's Hungarian past comes to life in Rijeka City Museum in a current exhibition which is based on the private collection of the Hungarian Csaba Skultéty. For long centuries Rijeka (in Hungarian Fiume) was under Habsburg sovereignity and at the end of the 19th century it was governed directly from Budapest as the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy's only international port. The exhibited photos, shipping timetables, tea and cocoa tins etc. recall Fiume's golden age of maritime trade.

The museum is open from 10.00 to 13.00 and 16.00 to 19.00 on weekdays and from 10.00 to 13.00 on Saturday.
