If you visit Zagreb this winter, do not miss the exhibition devoted to Ban Josip Jelačić in the Croatian History Museum (Matoševa 9.). For the 150th anniversary of the death of Ban Jelačić (1895) the museum displays about 300 items of his rich heritage, most of which was donated to the museum by the Ban himself or his family. The exhibited clothes, portraits and swords give an insight into the life of that person who has been considered as a national hero throughout Croatia.
